Privacy
Privacy notice.
Short version: I collect what you send me, only to decide your application and keep you safe. Your health answers are seen by me only and never sent by email.
Last updated: 22 October 2026.
Who I am
The Quiet Month is run by Sami Adham. That is a professional name; you get my full legal name in writing before any agreement. Contact: info@thequietmonth.com.
What I collect
- Step 1 of the form: your name, email, age, country, when you could start, how long, why you want to come, and how you heard about it.
- Step 2, health and fit: your answers about alcohol, smoking, other drugs, whether you can stop safely, conditions that matter for low-carb eating, and any notes. Every question lets you say "Prefer to discuss on the call".
- Your three consent ticks, and the page or link that brought you to the form.
- A scrambled code made from your internet address, used only to stop spam floods. I can't turn it back into your address.
- Later, if you go ahead: notes from our call, your doctor's fit-to-join letter, your emergency contact and proof of travel insurance.
Your health answers
You choose to give them, and you agree to this notice when you tick the privacy box. They are kept in a private database. Only I can see them. They are never put in any email, never shared with other guests and never used for marketing.
Please don't send medical details by email. We talk about health on the call.
Why I use it
To decide your application, reply to you, and run your month safely. Nothing else. I never sell your details or use them for advertising.
Where it is kept
- Cloudflare: hosts this website, the private application database, and the Turnstile check that stops spam bots.
- Google (Gmail): sends the email confirming your application, and carries our emails. These emails never contain health answers.
- Zoom: for our video call. I don't record calls.
How long
Applications are deleted automatically 12 months after you apply. If you join, I keep only what the agreement and the law need (such as invoices) for as long as the law requires.
Emergencies
If your safety is at risk, I may tell emergency services or your named contact what they need to help you.
Your rights
Email me any time to see, correct or delete what I hold about you, or to withdraw your consent. I reply within 48 hours and act within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
